Terms of Service

Last updated: January 10, 2026

Welcome to WPCoreTools. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website (wpcoretools.com) and WordPress plugins. By using our website or plugins, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website or downloading and using our plugins, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

2. Payments and Billing

2.1 Merchant of Record

All payments for WPCoreTools Pro plugins are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited (for customers outside the USA) or Paddle.com Inc. (for customers in the USA), who act as our Merchant of Record. This means Paddle is the seller of record for all purchases and handles payment processing, invoicing, sales tax/VAT collection, and refunds.

By making a purchase, you agree to Paddle's Checkout Buyer Terms.

2.2 Pricing and Taxes

All prices are displayed in USD unless otherwise specified. Paddle will add applicable sales tax, VAT, or other taxes based on your location. The final price including taxes will be shown before you complete your purchase.

2.3 Subscriptions and Auto-Renewal

Pro plugin licenses are sold as subscriptions that automatically renew. By purchasing a subscription, you authorize Paddle to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel:

  • Annual subscriptions: Renew every 12 months from the original purchase date
  • Renewal price: The subscription will renew at the then-current price, which may differ from your original purchase price
  • Renewal notification: You will receive an email reminder before each renewal
  • License continuity: Your Pro features and updates continue uninterrupted while your subscription is active

2.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through:

  • The cancellation link in your Paddle receipt or renewal reminder email
  • Your Paddle customer portal
  • Contacting us at support@wpcoretools.com

When you cancel:

  • Your subscription will not renew at the next billing cycle
  • You retain access to Pro features until the end of your current paid period
  • After expiration, Pro features will be disabled but the free version will continue to work

3. Refund Policy

3.1 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on all Pro plugin purchases. If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your purchase date.

3.2 How Refunds Work

All refunds are processed by Paddle as our Merchant of Record, in accordance with Paddle's Checkout Buyer Terms. To request a refund, contact us at support@wpcoretools.com or use the order support link in your Paddle receipt. Refunds are typically credited to your original payment method within 5-10 business days.

3.3 After a Refund

Once a refund is processed, your license key will be deactivated and Pro features will stop working. The free version of the plugin will continue to function normally.

4. Plugin License

4.1 GPL License

All WPCoreTools plugins are released under the GNU General Public License version 2 or later (GPLv2+). This means you are free to:

  • Use the plugins for any purpose
  • Study how the plugins work and modify them
  • Redistribute copies of the original plugins
  • Distribute copies of your modified versions

The full GPL license text is available at gnu.org/licenses/gpl-2.0.html.

Note: While both free and Pro plugin code is GPL-licensed, purchasing a Pro license grants you access to software updates, technical support, and license key activations. Redistribution of Pro plugins does not include these services.

4.2 No Warranty

As permitted by the GPL license, our plugins are provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

5. Acceptable Use

When using our website and plugins, you agree not to:

  • Use the plugins in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or networks
  • Interfere with or disrupt our website or services
  • Remove or alter any copyright notices or attributions
  • Use our trademarks or branding without permission (note: the GPL allows redistribution of code, but not use of our trademarks)
  • Misrepresent your affiliation with WPCoreTools

  • Results may vary based on hosting environment and server load
  • You are responsible for acting on profiling recommendations appropriately

6.2 OSV Security Scanner

OSV Security Scanner helps identify known vulnerabilities but does not guarantee complete security. You acknowledge that:

  • The scanner relies on third-party vulnerability data (OSV.dev)
  • No vulnerability scanner can detect all security issues
  • You are responsible for maintaining your site's security
  • The plugin is not a substitute for professional security audits

6.3 CRA Compliance Checker

CRA Compliance Checker provides tools to assist with EU Cyber Resilience Act compliance. You acknowledge that:

  • The plugin assists with compliance but does not guarantee it
  • You should consult legal and compliance professionals for definitive guidance
  • Regulatory requirements may change, and the plugin may not immediately reflect all changes
  • You are ultimately responsible for your own compliance obligations

7. Third-Party Services

Our plugins and services interact with third-party services, including:

  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights

11. Modifications to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to our website at our discretion. The GPL license to our plugin code survives any termination of these Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of our jurisdiction.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

15. Entire Agreement
